Kamalasagar (Kashaba) Kali Temple

15th century temple, Tripura

This Kali temple was built on a hillock by Maharaja Danya Manikya in the late 15th century. The Kamalasagar or Kashaba Kali temple is one amongst the many other picturesque temples of Tripura. It is situated just besides the Bangladesh borders under Siphaijala District.
 
The beautiful Kamala Sagar lake along with two wavy blue water lakeis a abode of Tripura's princely rulers. The river coupled with river Gomati is an inevitable spot for all tourists fond of waterscapes. The lake in front of the temple rightly enhances the beauty of the place.
 
This beautiful temple will leave its devotees and spectators in awe. The main Deity of this temple as the name suggests is of goddess Kali. And the major festival which takes its name up further, is its prompt and colorful celebration of Kali Puja which invites pilgrims as well tourists from all over the state.
 
The temple is connected by airlines with Kolkata, Guwahati. The nearest two railway stations from Agartala are Kumarghat and Dharma Nagar. Roads connects Agartala , Silchar,Guwahati,Shillong. For staying near the temple there are small but good selection of hotels. All places are made comfortable for the tourists from faraway places. There are very limited food joints and you have no option other then staying in hotels.
