The capital of the State of Sikkim, Gangtokis located at an altitude of 5500 feet above sea level. It falls under the geographical range of eastern Himalya. The breathtaking and awe inspiring views of the Himalayas can be seen through Ganesh Tok and Tashi view point. Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary is another amazing spot to amuse yourself with so many varieties of the flowers. The picturesque landscape with the Yumthang River flowing through itwill give you heavenly feeling.
The nearest airport to Gangtok is about 124 kilometres away in Bagdogra, West Bengal. New Jalpaiguri Railway station can get you to Gangtok which is at about 148 kilometres away from the capital city of Sikkim.
