Losar Festival

Losar is an Agricultural festival of Monpas tribe of Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh . Generally, the festival is a most important  festival of Mompas tribe and which  are mainly into agricultural and animal husbandry.During the festival the  community get together with friends and relatives and celebrate the ceremonial festival in a pompous manner.

Historically,The Monpas  are belonging to the Mongoloid stock.

Boori Boot Yullo Festival

Murung Festival

Bounteous harvest fetches no less hopes and joy for the Apatanis in Arunachal Pradesh. The colourful tribe in the north eastern state celebrate the season of bounteous harvest with Murung festival amid biting cold in January. Formerly, the festival was confined to a family where the near and dear ones were invited. But now a days, it is their occasion to openly share the joy with feast of meat and rice beer apart from their traditional songs and dances. Basically, it is celebrated in search of divine help for more wealth and prosperity.

Si-Donyi Festival

Tagin, the name of a tribal group in Arunachal Pradesh has no less contribution in the diversified culture and tradition in the north eastern state. Festivals provide them the best opportunity to upkeep their uniqueness apart from strengthening unity and brotherhood. The most colourful and salient event of the Tagins is Si-Donyi festival. The annual event, basically, is a puja to appease the Si-Donyi for global peace and prosperity as they believe in the supreme power of the sungod. “Si” stands for the earth.
