Meghalaya power minister Comingone Yambon has put in his papers deserting Mukul Sangma a couple of months ahead of the assembly polls early next year.
Yambon, who represents Raliang constituency in the assembly formally submitted his resignation letter to chief minister Sangma citing personal reason.
His associates told Shillong.com that Yambon, who was inducted in the cabinet only this year was unhappy with Sangma’s autocratic style of functionings.
Dr Sangma has yet to finalise his take on. Yambol's resignation assumes significance a week after two independent MLAs withdrew their supports from the Sangma government.
