Locating at a distance of around 60 kms from the Roing district headquarters, the breathtaking landscape is covered with white snow during the winter. The snowfall which begins in December continues till March which makes the scene more serene. True hospitality manifests in the roaring business guest houses apart from traditional food, art and culture. The striking feature here is a simple but gorgeous glimpse of the picturesque valley from the guest houses.

Your visit would be an adventurous as soon as your eyes would fix on the roaming bears, wild goats, flying squirrels and what not. The most interesting would be the Mishmi Takin, one of rare wild-goat specis.

The best time to reach Roing begins in October which continues till January before heavy snowfall atop the hills. Since the tiny town in Arunachal Pradesh does not have a proper train station or airport, the best mode of transport to reach here is bus services apart from Sumo and taxi services from Tinsukia. The ascending journey to Madudiya from Roing is no less thrilling where one can spot the beautiful butterflies here and there apart from lotuses blooming brightly on the ponds and waterbodies on both sides of the roads.
