The people in the village welcomed the guest traditionally and with utmost care. They are hospital towards whoever comes to their village. The guest are welcomed with their traditional songs prepared themselves mentioning the guest welcome to the village. They sing their melodious song using their traditional musical instrument and welcome them from the entrance of the village.
KARBI HOME:
Stay facilitity provided for the tourist where one can enjoy in the traditional karbi house which is of vernacular structure. The tourists enjoy the stay facility in two house i.e. ., Executive and economic stay facilities. In the executive the tourist stay with brick walls whereas in the economic with bamboo walls and mud plastered. The excitement of staying in this village can be experienced with the solar lights. However the western toilet and double bedded bed is taken care of for the tourist to stay comfortably.
KARBI CUISINE:
Staying in the village one can enjoy the delicious mouth watering dishes cooked and served traditionally. Being rice eater most of the dishes prepared are of rice and most interestingly the dishes prepared are cooked in the Bamboo Hollow. The different items such as An Kemung (Rice bamboo Hollow), Ok Kemung (Chicken, Pork, Fish Bamboo Hollow), Ok Kephi (Pork, Chicken, Fish Grill), Horlong (Rice Beer) and Kangmoi (Alkaline) are the common dishes prepared among the karbi. A special dish Called Maritehe (Chatni) is prepared with small fish, meat, with some leave and wrapped with banana leave and roasted inside the ash of the fire. These people further used to produce rice beer called as Horlong, the traditional Karbi drink.
KARBI CULTURE:
The events here are celebrated with their unique cultural activities. For every occasion the community has different cultural activities with their traditional group songs harmonized with musical instruments. Some of the different types of dances are Rit-nong Chingdi (indicating Jhum cultivation), Chong Kedam (War Dance), Nimso Kerung (A dance performed by couples where the girl cover their face as a sign of shyness).
